The poison *damage* doesn't proc on unarmed strikes, but the poisoned *condition* procs on skin contact, which should include unarmed strikes by simulation logic Mechanical intent is unclear And the Poisonous Skin ability is explicit that *all* piercing damage a Grung does procs their poison damage, they don't have to take separate action to poison the weapon
