E*Trade SMS - is this a scam? : r etrade - Reddit Sounds 100% like a scam Usually any reputable company, especially a bank, will ask you to login and view the alert or message They notify you via text, but banks don't send links via text It's super sketchy and too easy to spoof I would call etrade and let them know you got this text Their fraud department will likely want you to forward it to them so they can investigate and protect
